Description

No matter how far away we find ourselves from God’s purpose, there is always a second chance…
Second Chance is the story of John Mark – the young man who, despite being handpicked for the task, left his friends and ran, deserting one of the Apostle Paul’s great missionary journeys.

Though the biblical references to John Mark in the New Testament are few, the story between the lines is one of epic proportions. How exactly did the young man who failed and ran go on to become the author of the Gospel that bears his name and the first Bishop of Alexandria, eventually facing martyrdom for the cause of Christ?

John Mark’s story is one of glorious recovery and redemption. After being declared by Paul as “unfit” for service, he was ultimately restored and honoured by him.

From the pages of Scripture John Mark’s story calls out to all of us who have failed and let ourselves or others down. It reminds us that no matter how far away we find ourselves from God’s purpose, we can be reclaimed, restored and re-purposed because we serve the God of the Second Chance!
