A series of sermons preached by Rev Peter MacBride in the years 1841-1842 on the office and work of Christ as the great high priest. (Hebrews 4:14)

Although the sermons are presented in unpolished form, they provide an excellent specimen of the doctrinal, experimental, and unctuous preaching which characterised the best of the Scottish pulpit in the first half of the 19th century.
